First Week Scores – What Have I Gotten Myself Into?

Well, one week is gone in our Fantasy UnSports season, and I’ve officially gotten myself way in over my head.  I don’t want to tell you how much time it took me last night to compile everyone’s score and update the spreadsheet (hint:  it was over three hours).

We have 125 players (about 130 sign-ups, but some of you signed up twice), and you’d think that wouldn’t be too much to keep up with… but going line-by-line through 125 teams to find players and rosters that scored… well, let’s just say I started when the Bears game began, and ended long after the Bears game had ended.  Oh well.

I’m committed to doing what it takes to make this league work.  If we get any of that media coverage we’ve been hoping for, I’ll be scrambling for a programmer to help us maintain scoring in a less time-consuming way.

Anyway, congrats to our two teams that are currently tied for first place with 110 points:  You Suck, and StarburyTV.  Good work, guys.  There are four teams tied for second with 100 points… also good work.  And, believe it or not, only a handful of teams are still stuck at zero, with most teams picking up some points this first week.  Awesome.

You can view the entire roster list (leaderboard) here (leaders in pink, second place teams in green):

If I’ve missed your points–if you think you qualify for points I’m not showing for your team–just send me an email at fantasyunsports@gmail.com.  I’m sure I missed several, and offer my humble commissioner’s apology in advance (Jay Cutler kept distracting me with interceptions).

I’ll be back in a few with another post–I’ve added a new PQE that has scored some points for many of you… keep an eye out for details.

  1. [...] my leaderboard spreadsheet I only posted 2 hours ago is already hopelessly out of date.  [...]
