Fantasy UnSports Updates For October 1, 2009

Leaderboard:

I have updated the leaderboard.  It is up to date as of the writing of this post, accounting for all PQEs and waiver moves and all new signups.

I had some questions about how points work when you do a waiver move.  Let’s say someone adds Flozell Adams today… would they be given the 90 points he’s already earned.  The short answer is “No.”  The long answer is:  the spreadsheet does add in those points when I put him on your roster, but I use the “C” column on the spreadsheet to then minus out whatever points got added.  Hope that makes sense. Same goes for new signups… they initially get points for all their players that were earned pre-signup… but then I zero that out with column “C”.

Prizes:

We’re well shy of the 300 players I had set as the bar for me to promise a high-end video game console as a prize.  At this point, unless one of you has an uncle at Sports Illustrated or an aunt at CNN… I doubt we’re going to get much more press than we have already… meaning we’ll probably stick right around this number (currently 184 players).

So I need to come up with some prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.  I’m hoping you guys can help me brainstorm some… because I’m drawing a blank.  What do you guys think?
