This guy alone could win someone the league. Flozell Adams of the Cowboys has been fined again–the third time this year.  If you’re not keeping track, that’s one fine per game so far. Craig Hentrich, 16-year-veteran punter for the Tennessee Titans has been placed on IR, ending his season. The real bummer is that he’s so far up in years (for NFL players), there’s speculation that this could basically be the end of his career.  That’s a real shame (no sarcasm).  Hentrich has long been one of the best punters in the league.  I hope he gets another shot, assuming he wants one. 60 Points for Hentrich and Titans owners. Either I never paid enough attention, or there are a heck of a lot more season-ending injuries than I realized there were. A moment of silence for the 2009 campaign of Jamal Brown, a left tackle for the New Orleans Saints… he’s done for the year after a hip-related surgery. Pittsburgh Steelers running back Frank Summers (sounds like a stage name to me) is out for the year after a back injury (Yikes!). Back injuries suck, and I hope he can recover–he’s young, and has plenty of years ahead of him.
