Against the Bears on Sunday, Tyrone Carter of the Steelers hit Greg Olsen near the sideline. The NFL says he hit him in the head, and has fined him $5,000.  Carter, who will appeal, says he hit the shoulder. Jason Jones, who threw a punch on Sunday and got ejected, has now been fined $5,000 by the league for his thuggish behavior. It’s not remotely surprising… unless you consider the amount of the fine to be too small.  Flozell Adams of Dallas was just fined $12,500 for tripping, and Jones only gets $5,000 for throwing a punch after the play. 30 more points for Titans and Jones owners. Flozell Adams of the Dallas Cowboys was fined $12,500 today.  The fine is for a tripping incident on Sunday. This is the second fine for Mr. Adams in as many weeks.  Good job, buddy.  You’re on quite a pace.  The first was for an unnecessary blow to the head. In the NFL, your uniform is not a customizable thing.  You can’t swap in a bright colored pair of shoes just because you want to.  You can’t velcro fake names over your jersey. Oh, and the most obvious one… you can’t wear pants that don’t cover your knee. Yes, there is clearly a guy in the NFL league office whose job it is watch tape and inspect for bare knees.  Un-freaking-believable.
