You guys are letting me get soft. I somehow missed the Jim Mora firing as a PQE–I heard the story, but somehow didn’t remember to make it worth points. My apologies.
Coach firings, as you know, are worth 30 points… and 30 points might end up making the difference in this wacko league.
I’m surprised they fired Mora. He seemed like a good coach, a guy the players liked. Kind of shocked they fired a coach after one year who improved on his predecessor’s record by two wins. Oh well. Win now or you’re nothing, I guess.
Oh–also… the Dolphins fired...

No matter where you live in the U.S., today’s going to be cold as heck. Stay warm, and enjoy these yummy PQEs:
The Chargers have placed James Holt on IR with a shoulder injury. 60 Points
Somehow I missed noticing that the Bears placed Charles Tillman on IR a little over a week ago. 60 Points
Oh, and I was reminded that Brandon Marshall’s benching by Josh McDaniels definitely counts for points. 25 Points to be exact.
You guys can feel free to send me news stories you think should count as PQEs… I am only one guy and am sure to miss a bunch.

Brandon Stokley of the Broncos touched an official last week while trying to explain himself and argue his case.
Apparently, that’s a big no-no. A $20,000 fine ensued, which Stokley will appeal.
Man, first Chuck Cecil gets fined for cussing in the general direction of a ref… now Stokley is fined for–gasp–touching one?! What next, a fine for sneezing near a linesman?
Ugh. 30 points for Stokley and Broncos owners.

Chuck Cecil, the Tennessee Titans’ defensive coordinator, was flagged Christmas night against the Chargers for verbally abusing the refs. Cecil later claimed he was yelling into his headset… at his own coaches, not the refs.
Not sure I believe him on that… but the NFL clearly doesn’t, as they’ve now fined Cecil $20,000 for his tirade.
Yikes. That’s some expensive swearing. I honestly don’t know how this sort of thing doesn’t go on more often, the way coaches and players swear at each other.

The Detroit Lions have placed quarterback Matthew Stafford on IR, ending his season. Bummer dude. You probably did better than a lot of people thought you would during your rookie season. Plus, there’s always next year. 60 Points.
The Raiders Luke Lawton has been suspended four games for violating the league policy on performance-enhancing substances. He will now have to sit out the first two games for whichever team signs him for next year. Way to go, dude. 45 Points.
Oh, and Albert Haynesworth and Brandon Jacobs were both fined for their roles in the scuffle between the Redskins...
