San Diego Chargers linebacker Donald Butler tore his Achilles tendon the other day, and he will miss the rest of the season… before the season even begins. Poor guy.
60 Points to owners of Butler or the Chargers. Here’s hoping he heals up and gets to finish next season without this kind of injury.

A.J. Edds, a linebacker for the Dolphins, tore his ACL. He’ll miss the season. That has to suck. It’s also 60 points for you that have him on your squad. That doesn’t suck quite as much.
Also, Jonathan Babineaux has been suspended one game for violating the league’s substance abuse policy. Must have been a very tiny amount of weed then, because that is a tiny suspension. Considering his initial charges from police were possession with intent to sell… I’m surprised this suspension is so small. Anyway, that’s 30 points, which ain’t too shabby,...

Shawne Merriman is apparently holding out, and I missed him on yesterday’s list of holdouts. I’m sure there are others. If you have a dude on your roster who is holding out that I haven’t awarded points for… feel free to let me know. I can’t catch everything.
Anyway, 20 points for Merriman’s holdout.
Man, everybody thinks they’re hot stuff this year.

Holdouts are technically worth 20 points in this league, as Rob reminded me. So 20 points to Revis owners.
And Suh owners. He’s holding out too. 20 more points.
Oh, and the Ravens traded QB Beck to the Redskins–hey, at least he won’t have to sell his house. He was traded for a dude named Dutch, who also earns the trade points. 35 points each.

Domonique Foxworth of the Baltimore Ravens is out for the year, which earns his owners in this league about 60 points. It earns the Ravens yet another headache in their backfield. Sucks to be them. Anyway, Foxworth tore his ACL, which is rumored to hurt a whole lot and make it hard to run and stuff.
So, how do you tear your ACL in non-contact drills? Is that just like… a freak accident? Or does that mean the non-contact drills are still too physical? No idea.

I’ve had a few emails suggesting this should count for points, so what the heck. I’m going to go ahead and award 30 points to Haynesworth owners for this whole conditioning test debacle. Don’t brag about how you lost 40 pounds and have been steadily working out if you still can’t run some wind sprints without cramping up like a girl.
It’s only 30 points, and it’s specifically for a player failing multiple conditioning tests in a row, as Haynesworth has now done in Washington. But hey… free 30 points.
